What I Believe

Know yourself to lead yourself, so you can lead others.

That's the sequence, and it is non-negotiable. You cannot create a culture of freedom in others until you've found your own. A leader cannot give that which he or she does not possess.

After 25 years of sitting with leaders — in education, in startups, in organizations where lives and livelihoods are on the line — the pattern is always the same. Brilliant, capable people get stuck. Not because they lack skill, but because they're leading out of a story they've never examined.

These are not strategy problems. They are identity problems. And they respond to the brave, beautiful work of self-examination.

How I Work

I listen first. Then I tell you the truth — because I love you enough to.

I listen — really listen. Not for the presenting problem, but for what's underneath it. The pattern you explain away, the story you've been telling yourself for so long you've forgotten it's a story.

We meet regularly, one-on-one. Between sessions, I'm available — by text, by email, in the moment before the hard conversation. This is a relationship, not a transaction.

I use assessment tools — MBTI, Enneagram, DISC, Five Voices — as instruments of liberation, not labels. A label puts you in a box. Liberation shows you the box you've been living in and hands you the key.

This work will close the gap between the leader you're performing and the leader you actually are. And when that gap closes, everything changes — your team feels it, your family feels it, and you feel it most of all.

I spent 25 years in education and organizational leadership before founding Impact Training & Consulting. I am certified in MBTI, DISC, and Enneagram — not because I collect certifications, but because these tools, when used with love and precision, show people who they actually are.

Most coaches will help you manage a situation. I will help you see your part in creating it. Most coaches will motivate you for a season. I will help you change how you operate — permanently.
